A conversation about the melancholic apocalyptic present in Jeet Thayil’s work and the balancing act of writing precisely while writing in between genres. Drawing on the novels «Narcopolis», «Low», and «The Elsewhereans», he reflects on his craft. The evening continues with a performance of poems on inspiration, memory and loss, on the «elegant yet urgent expression of the profound condition of being human in our times» (Frontline), accompanied by the ILB House Band.
