Joshua Ginsburg is a bassist, composer, and bandleader. For over 25 years, he has performed internationally, including in ensembles led by Kurt Rosenwinkel and Eddie Henderson. His album «Zembla Variations» was named Album of the Year by New York City Jazz Record and JazzTimes. He studied at New School/Mannes School of Music (B.F.A.) and the City College of New York (M.A.). Since 2025, he has been Professor of Jazz Double Bass at the Gustav Mahler Private University Klagenfurt (Austria). Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, he lived for 20 years in Brooklyn. Joshua Ginsburg lives in Berlin.
