Peter Meyer is a German guitarist and composer. His music combines jazz, improvisation, sound art, experimental music, avant-garde pop, electronics and new music. In 2004 he moved to Berlin to study music and completed a Bachelor of Music (Jazz) at the Jazz-Institut Berlin. In 2010 he founded «Melt Trio», with the albums «Melt», «Hymnolia» and «Stroy»; a live album with the Norwegian musician Jan Bang followed in 2019. For «Consumer» (2022) the trio won the Deutscher Jazzpreis for «Album of the year», and Meyer was nominated in the guitar category. Peter Meyer lives in Berlin.
