born in 1988 in the Ruhr area, is an author, editor and presenter. She mainly focuses on politics, society and (pop) culture from a feminist perspective. As part of a German-French double degree program, she studied european studies, communications and journalism in Lille and Münster. Julia Korbik is the author of several non-fiction books and biographies that deal with the topics of equality and emancipation in various ways, including »Oh, Simone! Warum wir Beauvoir wiederentdecken sollten« [2017, tr. Oh Simone! Why we should rediscover Beauvoir], »Simone de Beauvoir. Ich möchte vom Leben alles« [with Julia Bernhard, 2023, tr. Simone de Beauvoir. I Want Everything From Life] and »Schwestern. Die Macht des weiblichen Kollektivs« [2024, tr. Sisters. The Power of the Female Collective]. She has received several awards for her work: In November 2018, she received the Luise Büchner Prize for Journalism in Darmstadt. In 2021, she spent two months in Scy-Chazelles, France as a fellow of the Récit’Chazelles literature program. Korbik lives and works in Berlin.
