In »3 – Ein Leben außerhalb« [tr: 3 – A Life Beyond], translated into German by Andrea Hemminger, Geoffroy de Lagasnerie celebrates friendship. He explores its role in politics and society and how it enables new ways of living. Drawing on Aristotle, Montaigne, and Foucault, he develops his own philosophy of friendship. Together with Didier Eribon and Édouard Louis, with whom he is close friends, de Lagasnerie discusses how friendship can serve as an alternative way of life beyond couple relationships and family.
