Amitav Ghosh: Ghost-Eye

Reading

She says she remembers a hut by a river: a little girl claims to have lived before. What begins as a case for psychiatrist Shoma Bose expands, in Amitav Ghosh’s new novel «Ghost-Eye», into an epic narrative about reincarnation and the climate crisis, family and repressed memory. Set in Calcutta in the 1960s and New York during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ghosh explores what it means to be connected to one another in a globalized world.
