Ruth Löbner is a freelance author and accredited literary translator of prose and poetry from Dutch. She was born in Mönchengladbach and studied linguistics and German studies in Cologne and Düsseldorf. She has translated works by, among others, Toine Heijmans, Gijs Wilbrink, Amarylis de Gryse, Loekie Zvonik, Lucas Rijneveld and Anne Frank into German, as well as «Ossenkop» by Manik Sarkar. Ruth Löbner lives with her family in Rheydt.
