After the death of her mother, Natalie tries to find her place in the world, while her brother joins an extreme right-wing group. At the same time, Sammy flees from conscription in Eritrea to start a new life in Europe. An unexpected twist brings the fates of the two together. Written in remarkable verse, the book tells of the fears and hopes of two young people who find in their friendship the strength to process their feelings of loss and grief.
