In 2016, the Czernowitz literary scholar Petro Rychlo and the Berlin artist Helga von Loewenich launched the project »Bukowinisch-Galizische Literaturstraße«. In addition to erecting monuments to writers from this region (Hermann Kesten, Karl Emil Franzos, Rose Ausländer, Joseph Roth, and others), the initiators are also interested in »bringing this cultural atmosphere to the people in these places«. The project also includes translations of the honored authors into Ukrainian.
