Exposed to sexual violence by her stepfather as a child, Neige Sinno’s novel »Triste Tigre«, which was awarded the prestigious Prix Femina and the Premio Strega Europeo 2024, tells of a radically open search that leads to her own family and literary history: How can sexual violence be appropriately narrated? Does what remains unsaid in families come to light in court? She approaches the truth in a self-reflective, intelligent, and polyphonic way.
