In his his monumental autobiography »The Falling Sky« (tr. N. Elliott, A. Dundy) Davi Kopenawa, representative of the Yanomami people from Brazil, passionately explains the urgency of protecting the rain forest, home to the Yanomami. Activist Mirjam Herrmann also warns of the destruction of the earth and uses drastic forms of protest such as highway blockades and attacks on works of art to draw attention to the environmental crisis. How can we stop a violent escalation and put an end to the devastation of our planet?
