The reinterpretation of Heinrich von Kleist’s novella »The Betrothal in Santo Domingo«, which was performed mainly with amateur actors, is adapted to feature the individuals of Munich’s punk-rock scene and Red Cells in the politically heated seventies and depicts the failure of a revolution. »A rarely screened and thus unfortunately largely unknown film by the director, which is both an invaluable contemporary image and an unusual example of New German Cinema« [critic.de].
