Democracies around the world are in crisis. How do they stand up to military threats and the fragmentation of society? Francis Fukuyama is putting our system to a stress test: Are the principles of liberalism as a foundation for our actions still up to date? In Berlin, he will present his new book for the first time in Germany. He talks about the values that genuine liberalism must represent, the extent to which neoliberalism has damaged its reputation, and how we must respond to the challenges of the present if we do not want to lose our freedom.
