Reading
Mirza and his father are suddenly forced to leave their home and flee to another country. Everything feels unfamiliar – the language, the people, the customs. In his thoughts, he talks to his friend Lukas, whom he misses deeply. Little by little, however, Mirza begins to find his way in this new environment and settles into his new life. This illustrated children’s book sensitively explores life in a foreign place, loneliness, and belonging, without reference to specific nationalities or real-world political events.
