The arrest and conviction of the French-Algerian writer and regime critic in Algeria drew international condemnation in 2024. For the first time since his pardon, Boualem Sansal, patron of the 26th ILB, takes the stage in Berlin. A small retrospective of his work invites the audience to explore the full range of his literary career. The conversation that follows further addresses the role of writing in between political act and biographical reflection.
