Indian English-language literature is in good hands, says Jeet Thayil, Curator in Residence at the 26th ILB and editor. Kamal Trilok Singh proves this with his debut, »happily ever after«. Thayil recognizes it as »an example of uncompromising literary virtuosity.« Singh sensitively and rhythmically dissects a relationship down to the smallest detail, navigating between fantasies of revenge and scenes of love. Following a performative reading, there will be a discussion of the novel.
The Curator in Residence Program is made possible by the LOTTO-Stiftung Berlin.
