Biography
is a writer and translator based in Potsdam and Los Angeles. She did her PhD in German studies at UCLA, was a Research Assistant at the Getty Research Institute, was program director at Villa Aurora in Pacific Palisades, and was chair of the translation jury at PEN Center USA in 2007. Among other topics, she has written about the problems of translating works about the Holocaust and recently published »Erdbebenwetter« in 2020 – a »modern witch novel« (Denis Scheck).
