born in Berlin in 1979, is a poet and translator. Her most recent publications include the poetry collection »muttertask« [2023] and the essay collection »Etymological Gossip« [2021], which was awarded the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in the category Nonfiction/Essay. As a translator of poetry, she has rendered works by Christian Hawkey, Eugene Ostashevsky, Valzhyna Mort, and – together with Sool Park – Kim Hyesoon’s »Autobiography of Death« from Korean [2025]. Her own poems have been translated into more than a dozen languages. Uljana Wolf is a member of the German Academy for Language and Literature and the Berlin Academy of Arts. She regularly teaches poetry and translation and has directed the international literature festival Poetica in Cologne since 2025. She lives in Berlin.
