Biography
born in Cologne in 1958, studied Romance languages and literature and political science, and is now a successful literary translator. He translates from Spanish, Portuguese and French, including works by Reinaldo Arenas, Juan Goytisolo, and Federico García Lorca. In 2018 he was awarded the Paul Celan Prize for his complete oeuvre. Brovot lives in Berlin.
