Tanja Witting
born in 1972 and studied social pedagogy. She has looked into the effects of virtual worlds, both in her 2007 doctorate thesis at the University of Magdeburg and in her research work as a member of the academic staff at Cologne University of the Applied Sciences (1999–2012). Besides her position as a professor for art and media in social work at Ostfalia University, Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel, she is also youth expert at Germany’s Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body, USK, as well as a member of the jury awarding the German Computer Game Award.
