Sarah Blau

born in 1973 in Bnei Brak, Israel, Blau studied history and psychology at Bar-Ilan University. After writing plays, TV reports, and newspaper articles about the role of feminism in the Orthodox Jewish community, her first book was published in 2007. In »Yetzer Lev Ha-Adama« (tr: The Book of Creation) she explores the Golem myth with the traditionally subordinate female figure as the protagonist. Her most recent book is the novella »Yateid« (2014; tr: The stake).
