Dotschy Reinhardt

born in 1975 in Ravensburg, is a German musician, author, and human rights activist. Her music fuses traditional jazz with elements of gypsy swing, singer-songwriter, and bossa nova influences. She débuted as an author with »Gypsy. Die Geschichte einer großen Sinti-Familie« (2008; tr: Gypsy. The History of a Big Sinti Family), and followed up with »Everybodyʼs Gypsy« in 2014. Since 2016, she has served as chairwoman of the Regional Council of Sinti and Roma in Berlin-Brandenburg.
