Regine Schönenberg

is the co-editor and co-author of the book »Transnational Organized Crime. Analyses of a Challenge for Democracy« (2013). For many decades she has explored the Amazon region. Her approach with respect to the spreading of organized crime has, thus, been influenced by the criminalization of informal life worlds as a result of globalization. Schönenberg is a political scientist and a member of the staff of the Latin America Institute of Berlin Free University.
