Masha Qrella
born in East Berlin in 1975, was a co-founder of the instrumental bands Mina and Contriva before launching her solo career as a songwriter with »Luck« in 2002. Since then, she has released numerous solo and group records, toured internationally, and participated in film, television, and theatre productions. In 2021, she released her first German-language album, »Woanders« with lyrics by Thomas Brasch. »Musikexpress« described the album as »one of the most important explorations of identity in German-language pop.« She was recently nominated for Best Act at the VIA -VUT Indie Awards 2021 of the Association of Independent Musicians and Music Companies. Qrella lives in Berlin.
