Óscar Martínez

born in El Salvador in 1983, is one of the most renowned investigative journalists in Central America. He writes for »ElFaro.net«, South America’s the first online magazine. His reporting has won numerous awards, including the Benítez National Journalism Prize in Mexico and the Maria Moors Cabot Prize presented by Columbia University. His new book »El niño de Hollywood« (2018) deals with the life and death of a member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang.
