Norbert Hummelt

born 1962 in Neuss, he studied German and English Language and Literature in Cologne, lives in Berlin since 2006. He writes poems and essays and translates poems from the English, a.o. T.S. Eliot and W.B. Yeats, whose poems he also edited. He has lectured at Deutsches Literaturinstitut Leipzig. For his work, he has received numerous honours, most recently the Lower Rhine Literature Prize in 2007.
