Martina Löw

born in 1965. She earned her doctorate from Goethe University, Frankfurt, in 1993. In »Raumsoziologie« (2001), she developed a spatial sociology that views the rise and development of places in their societal context and thus as social processes. Building on that, she also researched how spaces are constructed in electronic networks. Since 2013, she has taught at the Technical University Berlin as Professor for Architectural and Planning Sociology.
