born in Ravensburg in 1983, Lisa Kränzler studied Painting in Karlsruhe. Her literary debut »Export A« (2012) includes the episodes of adolescent isolation of an exchange student in Canada. Her second novel »Nachhinein« (2013; tr.: Afterwards) offers a collection of memories from adolescence of a friendship between two girls characterized by class differences and violence. She was shortlisted for the Prize of the Leipzig Book Fair in 2013. Kränzler lives in Freiburg in Breisgau.
