Lena Schnabl is a reporter and writer. She studied japanology, sinology, and politics in Munich and Sapporo and is an alumna of the Reportageschule Reutlingen. Her reportages have appeared in »Zeit Magazin»«, »Süddeutsche Zeitung»«, and «NZZ am Sonntag». Her narrative nonfiction book »Meine Suche nach dem Nichts« (tr. My Search for Nothing), about a pilgrimage in Japan, was published in 2019 by Goldmann Verlag and became a bestseller. She is currently working on her first novel. Schnabl lives in Berlin.
