Antje Kunstmann

born in Bad Kissingen in 1949. She studied education, philosophy, and sociology while simultaneously beginning work at the Raith-Verlag. At the age of 22, she was responsible there for editing the series »Materialien zur Frauenemanzipation« (tr: Materials on Women’s Emancipation). In 1976, she founded a publishing house together with Peter Weismann, which was renamed Verlag Antje Kunstmann in 1990 when Weismann left. Kunstmann has been a member of the Publishers Committee of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels since 2009.
