Katharina Raabe

born in 1957 in Hamburg, studied music, philosophy and musicology. She was a literary editor at Rowohlt Berlin from 1993 to 2000, and with Suhrkamp Verlag since 2000. The primary focus of her work lies in discovering and promoting Eastern European writers and issues in German-speaking countries. She has worked with Yuri Andrukhovych, Joanna Bator, László Darvasi, Dževad Karahasan, Andrzej Stasiuk, Serhiy Zhadan und Katja Petrowskaja, among other writers.
