Juliane Rebentisch

Juliane Rebentisch was born in 1970 and studied Philosophy and German Literature and Language. Doctorate in 2002, postdoctoral thesis in 2010. The philosopher and art theoretician focuses on aesthetics, ethics and political philosophy. Her history of theory »Die Kunst der Freiheit« (tr: The Art of Freedom) discusses the roots of the democratic culture of freedom and its aestheticization. Rebentisch is an associate editor of »WestEnd. Neue Zeitschrift für Sozialforschung« and teaches philosophy at the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main.
