Juliane Liebert is a German writer, journalist, and poet. She studied cultural studies at the Europa-Universität Viadrina and cultural journalism in Berlin. After an internship in the arts section of «Süddeutsche Zeitung», she has since written for the paper as a culture journalist as well as for «Die Zeit» and «Der Spiegel», as a music journalist. She taught poetry at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. In 2021 her debut poetry collection «lieder an das große nichts» (tr. songs to the big nothing) was published, followed in 2025 by «mörderballaden», which draws on the murder ballad tradition. Juliane Liebert lives in Berlin.
