Josephine Decker

born in 1981 in Texas. During her studies at Princeton, Decker discovered that directing incorporated all the things she was interested in – music, costumes, and writing. After making several short films and a documentary about bisexuality, her first feature-length film »Butter on the Latch« was released in 2013. Much like her most recent film »Thou Wast Mild and Lovely« (2014), it explored the »mystical and unfathomable in female desire« (»Die Zeit«).
