Ilija Matusko is a writer. He studied sociology and political science. He has received numerous grants for his work, including a fellowship from the Fritz-Hüser-Institut für Literatur und Kultur der Arbeitswelt and a residency at the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles. His autobiographical essay «Verdunstung in der Randzone» (tr. Evaporation in the Peripheral Zone) was published in 2023 by edition suhrkamp, as is is debut novel «Jugo», published in 2026. Matusko lives in Berlin.
