born in Copenhagen in 1958. Rose was a foreign correspondent in Moscow and Washington, D.C., and became the head of the culture and entertainment section of the Danish daily »Jyllands-Posten« in 2004. In 2010 Rose published »Tyranny of Silence«, a collection of essays on the controversy resulting from the Mohamed caricatures he commissioned for the paper. It was nominated for the Cavling Prize. In 2016, he was awarded the Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty from the Cato Institute.
