Fatma Aydemir

born in 1986, is a German writer and journalist. She majored in American and German studies in Frankfurt am Main and San Diego, and has lived in Berlin since 2012. She is a regular contributor to the »tageszeitung«, »Missy Magazine« and »Spex«, among other publications. She made her debut in 2017 with »Ellbogen« (tr. elbow), about a young German-Turkish woman in search of her identity and a place to call home. Aydemir is one of the founders of the web portal taz.gazete.
