Djamila Ribeiro

born in 1980, is a Brazilian writer, journalist, feminist, and philosopher as well as blogger and online activist. She studied political philosophy in São Paulo and subsequently worked as a columnist for »CartaCapital«. In 2016 she was appointed Deputy Secretary for Human Rights and Citizenship Affairs in the Municipality of São Paulo. In her publications, she has actively advocated for women’s rights and against racism and chauvinism.
