Dave Eggers is an American writer and publisher. He studied journalism at the University of Illinois. His memoir «A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius» was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 2001. «The Circle» (2013) became a worldwide bestseller, «A Hologram for the King» (2012) earned him a National Book Award nomination, and «Zeitoun» (2009) won him, among other honors, the American Book Award. He is a co-founder of «826 National», a network of writing centers for young people. Dave Eggers lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
