Biography
Christian Lehnert, born in 1969 in Dresden, is a poet and theologist. He directs the Liturgical Institute at the Universität Leipzig. He has published seven volumes of poetry and one essay about the apostle Paul. He received the Hölty Prize for his poetry oeuvre in 2012, the Eichendorff Literature Prize in 2016, and the German Prize for Nature Writing in 2018. He has been a member of the Saxon Academy of Arts since 2013 and the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz since 2014.
