Boris Palmer, born in 1972 in Waiblingen, is a politician and Mayor of Tübingen. He studied mathematics and history in Tübingen and Sydney and was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament for Bündnis 90/Die Grünen from 2001-2007. In 2006, he was elected Mayor of Tübingen for the first time and is now in his third term of office. In 2023, Palmer announced his resignation after 27 years with Bündnis 90/Die Grünen. Palmer’s central issue is climate protection.
