Jürgen Boos

born in Lörrach in 1961, has been director and managing director of Frankfurt Buchmesse GmbH since 2005. He initially trained as a publishing bookseller at Herder Verlag in the 1980s and then studied marketing and organizational theory. He has been a manager at various publishing houses, including Droemer Knaur and Carl Hanser Verlag. Boos is president of LITPROM, a »registered association for the promotion for literature from Africa, Asia, and Latin America«. He was awarded the Order Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2018.
