Angharad Price was born in the vicinity of Caernarfon in North Wales, Great Britain, in 1972. She studied Modern Languages at Jesus College, Oxford. She has published numerous books and articles on contemporary Welsh literature as well as several stories and two shorter novels: ‘Tania’r Tacsi’ (Engl: Tania’s Taxi) in 1999 and ‘O! Tyn y Gorchudd’ (Engl: Oh, Pull Away the Veil), which won the prize for best prose piece at the National Eisteddfod in 2002 and was announced book of the year by the Arts Council of Wales in 2003. After having taught Welsh Literature at Cardiff University until 2006, she now gives lectures at the University of Wales, Bangor. Apart from Welsh Literature Creative Writing also belongs to her exploratory focus.
