Biography
born in Mexico City in 1961 and studied Humanities at the Autonomous University of Mexico. In 1982, she received a scholarship from the National Institute of Fine Arts and from 2001 to 2004 she was artistic director of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores del Fonca. She won the National Gilberto Owen Prize in 1991, the Société Académique Arts-Sciences-Lettres’ Silver Medal in 2004 and the Juan Rulfo Short Story Prize in 2005. She currently lives in Mexico City.
