Jürgen Kaube is a journalist and has been a publisher of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung since 2015. He began writing for the F.A.Z. arts and culture section in 1992, joined the editorial staff as the paper’s Berlin correspondent in 1999, and moved to its Frankfurt am Main office in 2000. In 2008, he became head of the humanities section; in 2012, he also assumed responsibility for new nonfiction titles and was appointed deputy head of the arts and culture section. He received the Ludwig Börne Prize in 2015 and the German Nonfiction Prize in 2021 for his biography «Hegels Welt» (2020, tr. «Hegel’s World»). Jürgen Kaube lives in Frankfurt am Main.
