Julia Reuschenbach is a senior lecturer in social sciences at the University of Hamburg. She previously worked as a research associate at the Otto Suhr Institute at Freie Universität Berlin and at the University of Bonn, where she earned her doctorate in 2022. Her research focuses on political parties, elections, democracy, and political communication. In 2024, she co-authored the book «Defekte Debatten. Warum wir als Gesellschaft besser streiten müssen» (tr. «Flawed Debates: Why We as a Society Need to Argue Better») with Deutschlandfunk journalist Korbinian Frenzel; it was published by Suhrkamp Verlag. Since 2026, she has been a policy fellow at the think tank «Das Progressive Zentrum». Julia Reuschenbach lives in Berlin.
