Awuor Ouma is a Kenyan poet and writer. Her work moves between grief, migration, memory, and belonging, with particular attention to the emotional landscapes of African womanhood. After years of writing in obscurity, she published work in «Doek!» and «The Kalahari Review» as well as the novella «Face Me, Darling» (2025). Her debut poetry collection «Blue Hands, Brown Skin», winner of the 2026 Cave Canem Foundation Poetry Prize, will be released in November 2026. Awuor Ouma lives in Berlin.
