Jana Mikota

Born in 1973, Jana Mikota studied German literature, history, and art history and earned her doctorate in Siegen. Mikota is the Oberstudienrätin (senior lecturer) at the Germanistisches Seminar of the Universität Siegen and specializes in children’s and young adult literature, inter alia. She is a first-time guest of the ilb and will speak on the topic »Children’s Literature in the Year 1918, or: How ›Nesthäkchen‹ Founded a Student Council.«
