Biography
born in 1965 in Ferrara, is a professor of criminology at the University of Oxford and an expert in international organized crime. His book »The Russian Mafia« (2001) is considered required reading and won the 2002 Ed A. Hewett Book Prize. In »Mafia Life« (2017), he describes the habits, motivations, and complications in the lives of international mafiosi. He lives in Oxford.
