Cem Özdemir
Cem Özdemir, born in Bad Urach in 1965, has been a delegate of the European Parliament since 2004. Trained as an educator, he was the first delegate of Turkish origin to be elected to German parliament, to which he has already belonged for two legislative periods. In his political work, Özdemir champions the integration of a democratic Turkey into the European Union as well as campaigning for a harmonisation of the relationships between Turkey and the Armenians.
